This week’s Pink Shade: Unstuck and Unstoppable!
This weekend, I attended a personal empowerment event for women. While there, I asked one of the ladies, “Why are you here?” “What made you interested in attending this event?” She said, “I feel stuck… like I’m just in a rut all the time. I’ve even asked God, is this all there is to my life?”
Have you ever felt this way… like you are stuck in the monotony of life? Have you ever asked yourself or God, “is this all there is to life?”
I know I have. This particular feeling of being “stuck” has come over me while working my 9 to 5 each and every day, it came with the shock of losing my mother to cancer within one year of her diagnosis, and it even sometimes shows up in my alone time with God, especially when I feel like my life isn’t measuring up to the promises that I know He has for me.
In general, this feeling of being stuck comes up whenever we feel like we are not living the life we really want.
In John 10:10, it says that Jesus has come so that we can have life more abundantly. This means that no matter what your level of satisfaction is, there is always more in store for you! What a wonderful feeling to know that on this journey called life that there is always ANOTHER LEVEL and that God’s plan is for you to EXPERIENCE it!
So, here are 2 ways to get UNSTUCK so that you can experience your next level NOW!
- Change Your Perspective– Nothing will ever change until you change the way you think about it. Every word you speak is creating the world around you. You have the power to create; your creative power lives in your mind. Whether you know it or not, your perspective of your life has shaped the outcomes of your life. You will only experience more of what you think because spiritual law teaches us that we attract what we put out. If you look closely, everything that you think on a regular basis is closely aligned to that which you actually experience, whether good or bad. If you want to change your world, get dead serious about changing your thoughts.
- Shift your focus – It may be time to shift your focus from what you “see” to what you “don’t see.” We often respond or focus our attention on the things that we can quickly touch or make the most impact on. But in order to get unstuck, you have to be willing to do some things differently. It is often the things that we DON’T SEE that is the true source of our discontentment, discomfort and stagnant growth. Sometimes, all it takes is a conscious shift of focus in a new direction (to that which is unseen, overlooked, ignored or avoided) to get you closer to your desires.
Journaling Assignment: Think about where you feel stuck in life. What has been your strategy for handling it? Where have you usually put most of your attention? Now, shift your focus. Where could your blind spots be? What haven’t you addressed that you know you really need to. Write them down and decide on what small steps you can take to give attention to this new area.
My challenge to you this week: Consider that every complaint you is a prayer. How can you create a more positive perspective around your feeling of being stuck? Consider what you have learned as a result of being where you are today? How has your “now” benefited you, your goals and your needs? Create a new thought based on your findings.
Much love,
Tiff
