Summary
When you are overwhelmed in life, what do you do? You may know it’s time to slow down or even pause for a moment, but what do you do while you wait? How do you overcome the overwhelm, regain your strength and get back on track? Try these 4 strategies:
- Be Still & Seek God – The best thing you can do when you don’t know what to do is to do nothing. In Isaiah 40:31, it states that they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as an eagle; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk, and not faint. Doubt means don’t. It’s time to be still and seek the source for new direction and restoration.
- Ask for Help – Often times, we have not because we ask not. You may feel overwhelm as a result of taking on to much. During your time of stillness, think about who can help you and ask for the help you need. This will help you to lessen the load and increase your effectiveness as you focus on one thing and not everything.
- Set boundaries – One of the best things that you can do is to set boundaries for yourself. Whether it be boundaries in relationships or around activities, start thinking about what works for you and what doesn’t; and enforce your boundaries for your peace of mind.
- Trim the fat- Momentum occurs when everything you do is in alignment with your desired goals. To “trim the fat” is to cut out things and people that are misaligned with your current goals. Watch the video above for the full lesson attached above…we dont just live, we evolve #PinkShadesofEvolution
